+++ 1. Very Important: Corona tests +++

In order to give our guests the safest and most carefree day possible, all guests – regardless of their vaccination status – must have taken a corona test:

If you are completely vaccinated or recovered please do a recognised corona rapid test:
Option 1: a recognised rapid test maximum 24 hrs before the wedding celebration.
Option 2: a recognised rapid test maximum 72 hrs before the wedding celebration and a self speed test at the day of the wedding. We recommend this option so you have enough time to react in the unlikely but possible case of a false-positive result.

If you are not vaccinated (or not completely, including 14 days of immunisation time) please do a PCR test:
Option 1: a PCR test within 48 hrs before the wedding celebration. Pleaso also do a self speed test at the day of the wedding.
Option 2: a PCR test within 96 hrs before the wedding celebration. In this case you need a additional recognised rapid test maximum 24 hrs before the wedding celebration.
(Please note, it can take up to 24-48 hrs to get your result depending on your testing location.)

In any case, please bring the proof for the rapid test / PCR with you (printed or as pdf on your phone), we need this for our obligatory hygiene concept. Many thanks. 🙂

One of the test centres:
Testzentrum Q: Poststraße 5, 69115 Heidelberg (Mon-Sun, 09:00-20:00)

Note: Rapid Testing is for free and takes about 20-30 min.

+++ 2. Restrictions in/around Heidelberg +++

In Germany restrictions have depended on the number of cases per 100.000 inhabitants during 5 following days. Starting on Monday (16.08.2021) the rules changed, the incidence has no direct effect on restrictions anymore. What will be important is the status of vaccination and testing.

Implications: The wedding can take place without harsh restrictions. We expect around 65-70 guests.
At the church we have to wear masks. All guests still must get tested for safety reasons (see chapter 1).

The Incidence of the last weeks at Rhein-Neckar, the place of the celebration:

+++ 3. Information for guests coming from abroad +++

If you arrive from abroad, restrictions for entry into Germany will depend on the “corona status” of the countries you have been during the last 10 days before entering Germany. There are two classifications of risk areas with travel restrictions:

🙁 area of variant of concern” (“Virusvariantengebiet”):
You would have to go straight into quarantine of 14 days after your arrival, no matter whether you are tested, vaccinated or recovered.

🙂 high incidence area” (“Hochrisikogebiet”) / [incidence >> 150/200]:
A proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination or proof of recovery from an infection is required to avoid a 10 day quarantine. This proof must be held prior to entering the country, and must be presented to the airline before departure where applicable. If you don’t have such a proof, you can end the quarantine the earliest on the fifth day with a negative test result.

–> in BOTH OF THESE CASES you must register and upload your proof here: https://www.einreiseanmeldung.de

Currently “high incidence area”: Israel, Spain, UK (“Vereinigtes Königreich”), USA
Currently not on the risk list: Austria, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland
